Format

This program will take place In-Person over from August 8, 2021 to August 11, 2021.

Overview

This hands-on, three-day workshop, developed in conjunction with the National Association of State Procurement Officials, is designed to guide senior procurement leaders from state government through a structured process for determining gaps and establishing a vision and plan to address the long-term needs of their organization. The workshop will use discussions and small group activities to analyze procurement competencies and capabilities to help develop a tangible output that can be used to guide future actions. Enrollment limited to NASPO member organizations with approval.

The seminar fee includes tuition, educational materials, meals and lodging. Payment will be coordinated through the National Association of State Procurement Officials. No payment is due at this time.

*NASPO requires that airline arrangements be confirmed at least two weeks prior to travel. A welcome reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021. The program will begin at 8:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on Monday, August 9, 2021, and will conclude approximately 12:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

Lodging

Lodging will be provided at the Candlewood Suites hotel adjoining and connected to the conference center. Arrangements will be coordinated by Michigan State University based upon travel information submitted by each participant on a travel/special needs form that will be provided after registration.
