Program Description

The Spartan Growth Academy for Suppliers is presented by the Eli Broad College of Business, ranked #1 in Supply Chain Management/Logistics programs (U.S. News & World Report, 2024) and #1 in Marketing Research programs (QS World University Business Master’s Rankings, 2023).  The academy is the product of a unique collaboration between our college and the Racial Equity and Justice Initiative Impact Accelerator from Apple.

The result of this collaboration is a strategic executive leadership program designed for existing and emerging C-suite executives of Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs). In this high-pressure environment of rapid scaling and growth, now is the time to learn how to seize strategic opportunities that can make a significant difference to you and your organization. Gain a top-ranked executive education with a global impact.

MINORITY SUPPLIER-FOCUSED EDUCATION

MBE executives face unique challenges daily. Decisions have implications for staff morale, financial solvency, and most importantly, organizational outcomes. Using a mixture evidence-based practices, this academy helps executive leaders excel even further in a complex, dynamic environment.

During this program, participants will gain skill mastery in business modeling, customer diversification, supply chain management, strategic negotiations, business data management, and more. These core skills are all approached from an MBE’s perspective, and participants will be able to immediately apply these skills using a work-based project that continues throughout the duration of the academy. The latest developments in marketing will also be discussed, as will successful financial models in modern organizations.

Content in the Growth Academy for Suppliers is facilitated by experienced Michigan State University professors and external partners.
