Program Description

Michigan State University’s Supply Chain Logistics Management Executive Seminar has helped business leaders overcome their logistics and operations challenges for more than 50 years. It is the world’s premier logistics executive seminar provider and the top-ranked degree program in supply chain management.

The May 2024 seminar combines research and practical tools through academic frameworks and real-world examples to help companies see through their vision of success for their organization. Faculty affiliated with the Broad College of Business' #1 supply chain degree program - a ranking held for 12 consecutive years - convene in this seminar to present research-driven, test-proven logistics and operations strategies. Industry speakers revered as thought-leaders in regional and global supply chain management join in the discussions of best-practice trends for overcoming impediments to innovation in today's competitive environment.  The seminar is designed for experienced executives and general managers whose firms are driving integrated logistics within the context of an overall supply chain strategy.

We hope your organization joins us this year to further cultivate leadership and executive talent in your firm's supply chain logistics management.

Key Learning Objectives

The seminar aims to enable participants to answer these questions and apply newly acquired tools and knowledge to successful strategies on behalf of their firm.

  • How do logistics and an integrated supply chain contribute to my firm's competitiveness?
  • How are logistics and supply chain capabilities synthesized and leveraged to achieve superior supply chain and logistics performance?
  • What roadblocks to further enterprise success does my firm share with others? What are my firm's unique challenges?
  • What does the transition from managing specific functional areas, such as transportation and warehousing, to logistics planning and operational integration look like?
  • What are the logistics and supply challenges and trade-offs associated with global operations?
  • What are today's strategies for addressing success-related challenges such as workforce development and company culture among today's supply chain professionals?

These learning objectives are addressed in an interactive, collaborative learning environment designed to bring new insight and immediate value to every participating organization.

Critical and Emerging Issues Workshop
One of the unique features of this seminar is the critical/emerging issues workshop.
